Victoria has been given the green light to re-open from midnight on Tuesday 27/10/2020.

The message is no longer “stay home” but “stay safe” in Victoria.

The four reasons to leave home no longer apply.

The government has announced all retail, restaurants, cafes and hotel will take the next step and re-open under the COVID-safe model from midnight on Tuesday.

“This belongs to every single Victorian who has stayed the course and followed the rules,” Daniel Andrews said.

There are 91 active cases of COVID-19 in Victoria.

Seven people are in hospital, none of those receiving intensive care.

While it is a positive announcement, the Premier also issued a warning.

“It’s not over,” he said.

“This virus is not going away.”

More details on home visits will be given tomorrow.

“You will hear us talk about this a lot in the coming weeks and months,” Daniel Andrews said.

COVID-19 safe workplace principles will be enforced at all club events.

  • Stay at home and get tested if you have symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19), however mild.

  • Practise good hygiene – wash your hands and cough and sneeze into a tissue or your elbow.

  • Keep your distance – stay 1.5 metres away from anyone you don’t live with.

  • All members attending must leave a name and contact number

  • If you want a coffee or tea please bring your own cup etc.

  • All members attending will have there temperature taken by a non-contact thermometer so don’t come if you are unwell for if you do come along you will be sent home.

Please stay home if you are unwell.

AMC Remote Exams
Just a reminder: with the Covid-19 shut-downs, AMC are still conducting exams.

Despite news reports to the contrary, the AMC has been offering remote and special assessments in this manner since well before the pandemic hit.

AMC offers remote Assessments.  The process has been made as simple as possible but must ensure that the security and integrity of the system remains intact.

If you wish to undertake an exam contact the AMC – their contact details can be found on their website

So, go on, get studying either to enter the hobby or to gain extra privileges and responsibilities.  Once successful, the current situation has not affected the allocation and authorisation of call signs, that’s very much business as usual!

Examination Fee Schedule – 2020

We are small club who believes in helping our fellow hams get on the air and to stay on the air.

 Never argue with an idiot!

If you start with an idiot you will finish with a idiot, so what is the point?

The biggest problem with Ham’s today is, there are too many ex CB’ers that know every thing, get a two letter call to prove it.
